• AI-powered profile analysis and career coaching insights
• Resume and cover letter generation
• Career journal for documenting achievements
• Job analysis and matching tools

3. Account Registration

To use Career Leap, you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

You may not create an account for anyone other than yourself without permission, or use another user's account.

4. User Content and Data

4.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to Career Leap, including your professional information, journal entries, uploaded documents, and profile data ("User Content").

4.2 License to Us

By submitting User Content, you grant Career Leap a limited, non-exclusive license to use, process, and store your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. This includes:

• Displaying your profile information to you
• Processing your data with AI to generate insights and suggestions
• Creating backups and ensuring data integrity

4.3 Content Standards

You agree that your User Content will be accurate and truthful. You will not submit content that:

• Contains false or misleading professional information
• Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Contains malicious code or harmful content
• Violates any applicable laws or regulations

5. AI-Generated Content

Career Leap uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions, analyses, and content based on your profile information. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and may require review and editing
• You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-generated content before use
• AI outputs may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your specific situation
• Career Leap is not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Career Leap only for lawful purposes. You will not:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Use automated means to access the Service without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the Service to create fraudulent professional profiles or documents
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

7. Subscription and Payment

7.1 Free and Paid Plans

Career Leap offers both free and paid subscription plans. Features and limitations vary by plan. Current pricing and plan details are available on our pricing page.

7.2 Payment Terms

For paid subscriptions:

• Payment is processed securely through Stripe
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Prices may change with 30 days notice
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis

7.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until then.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by Career Leap and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

"Career Leap" and our logo are trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

9. Third-Party Services

Career Leap integrates with third-party services including authentication providers, payment processors, and AI services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable
• AI-generated content will be suitable for your specific needs
• The Service will meet your expectations

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAREER LEAP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Career Leap and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your User Content
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
• You may request export of your data within 30 days
• We may delete your account and data after 30 days

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

15. General Provisions

• Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Career Leap regarding the Service.
• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them freely.
